The sun is shining, the coats are locked away and it time to end our Spring/Summer semester with our annual National Flash Fiction Day event NewsFlash on 27th June in Arthurs Pub, Dublin 8. We’ve been taking parts for the last four years and it’s the perfect way to end our semester. As always this event is FREE and all are welcome. So come along and bring a friend, bring two if you’ve got them! We look forward to seeing you all there!
Looking ahead to September, our ten-week Beginning To Write courses start back in September/October, with both Tuesday and Thursday offerings. We’ll also be running our six-week Beginning To Write Fiction on Wednesdays.
If you’ve moved past beginners and are looking for a general follow-up, try our Get Writing course (for generating material) or Intermediate Creative Writing (for developing your craft and workshopping works-in-progress). Or if you’ve decided you definitely want to work on that book or other long project, check our our Commit To Your First Draft course.
We also have an exciting range of specialist courses – our Intro to Speculative Fiction will be running again, and we’re delighted to have Poetry – Writing, Reading, Editing running this autumn. And we’ve added a new shiny course – Mining Your Personal Experiences For Fiction – too!
Finally, we’ve a number of one-days already lined up (and filling up!), including both an Introduction to children’s fiction (everything from picture books to YA) and a workshop for more experienced writers, and our world-building workshop.
As ever, if you’ve any queries about any of these workshops, please do get in touch!
