These days writers can avail of an ever-increasing range of media through which to present their work to audiences. More & more of us are growing beyond the text only format & experimenting – often with great success – with forms such as video, podcast, audiobook, literary performance, vlog, online radio, live performance, & livestreaming. But such a wide choice of media, coupled with the rapidity of technological developments, can leave us confused & not knowing where to start. Join experienced multimedia creator Dave Lordan for a hands-on, step-by-step, practical intro to multimedia creativity, production, & distribution for writers. Each class will cover aspects such as equipment, apps & software, scripting, editing, distribution, & audience-building. Participants will leave the course knowing how to make effective, high quality online video, audio, & live recordings/broadcasts on a tight budget & for a variety of writerly purposes.
