Our new term begins in September and we’ve plenty on offer for writers at all levels of experience.
Our ten-week Beginning To Write courses start back in September/October, with both Tuesday (starting September 22nd) and Thursday (starting October 1st) offerings. We’ll also be running our six-week Beginning To Write Fiction on Wednesdays (starting September 23rd).
If you’ve moved past beginners and are looking for a general follow-up, try our Get Writing course (for generating material) or Intermediate Creative Writing (for developing your craft and workshopping works-in-progress). Or if you’ve decided you definitely want to work on that book or other long project, check our our Commit To Your First Draft course.
We also have an exciting range of specialist courses – our Intro to Speculative Fiction will be running again, and we’re delighted to have Poetry – Writing, Reading, Editing running this autumn. And we’ve added a new course – Mining Your Personal Experiences For Fiction – too! We also have Writing About Place to look at different ways to write about place
If you’re starting to think about publication, try our one-day Getting Published seminar on Saturday September 5th, but you’ll also want to ensure your novel is as ready as it can be. Our intense and advanced Your Second Draft workshop returns this autumn and is ideal for anyone with a completed draft ready to focus on editing and revising their material.
Finally, we’ve a number of one-days already lined up (and filling up!), including both an Introduction to children’s fiction (everything from picture books to YA) and a workshop for more experienced writers, an introduction to memoir, a world-building seminar, and a workshop for anyone with a fantasy novel in progress. We also have our ever favourite Dublin Young Authors course for younger writers.
We can’t wait for the semester to kick off! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
